About the role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) Mental Health coordinates, delivers and evaluates clinical nursing education programs at a ward/service level and provides clinical supervision in order to support development of evidence based, person centred nursing care in line with the standards, policies and procedures of the Ministry of Health and other statutory authorities.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking an experienced and motivated mental health clinician who thrives in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This role will suit a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise, a commitment to service improvement, and the ability to support positive outcomes for consumers, carers, and the broader health service.
- Demonstrated experience as a Mental Health CNC, or acting experience in a Mental Health CNC role.
- Strong mental health assessment skills, with experience working within an Emergency Department environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and hospital services.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance activities, and hospital-wide operational initiatives.
- Understanding of key performance indicators, including length of stay, bed occupancy, incident management, and restrictive practices, and their impact on service delivery and consumer outcomes.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in the relevant specialty.
- Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in mental health assessment, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care planning, with the ability to provide expert consultation and leadership in the management of consumers presenting with complex mental health needs within an emergency department setting.

Tweed Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 (CNC3) to provide expert clinical leadership, coordination, consultancy and support across Emergency Departments within the Designated Network Hospitals of Northern NSW Local Health District.
In this role, you will drive clinical excellence, support service improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred emergency care.
Applicants should have a minimum of seven years' post-registration nursing experience, including at least five years in Emergency, along with a Master's qualification in Emergency Nursing or a related clinical specialty. Your transition from student to Enrolled Nurse is an important stage of your career. From your first day, you’ll be welcomed into your facility and supported by your Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and experienced nursing colleagues.
The transition experience will vary between facilities according to local services and workforce arrangements.
At larger hospitals, including Armidale, Belmont, Maitland and Tamworth, support may include formal Transition to Practice arrangements such as structured rotations, dedicated education and targeted professional development.
At smaller rural and regional facilities, you’ll benefit from personalised support, hands-on learning and the opportunity to work closely with experienced, close-knit teams.

Position details
The Outpatient Rehabilitation Service
Outpatient Rehabilitation (OPR) is a multidisciplinary allied health outpatient service for patients residing in the THS-North returning home to the community following an inpatient hospital admission. The service is based at the Launceston General Hospital. The Outpatient Rehabilitation team includes Allied Health Assistants, Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology. OPR aims to provide goal-directed, time limited rehabilitation for patients with physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive difficulties and deficits arising from their recent medical event. The caseload includes patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, deconditioning and other conditions requiring rehabilitation after a hospital admission.
The Role
The Allied Health Team Leader- Outpatient Rehabilitation provides clinical leadership and oversees best practice multidisciplinary rehabilitation. This is an opportunity to step into a key clinical leadership role and shape the future of the Outpatient Rehabilitation service at Launceston General Hospital. The role combines hands-on expert clinical practice with leadership, service development, education, and innovation across the service. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes, supporting staff development, and driving excellence in care delivery.
Details of appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 January 2028.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

The Team
Lead the way whilst the Mother Baby Unit is transitioning into its new home. The team consists of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Midwives, Mental Health Clinicians and working alongside the Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service, whilst supporting families navigate the first year of parenthood. The MBU is a great place to work and allows staff the opportunity give the time, care and attention to these families 24/7.
The Role
This role provides leadership to the Mother & Baby Unit (MBU) based at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
It also ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within MBU.

You will need
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in child and family health nursing.

Selection Criteria
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 12 Months experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.

Registered Midwives - join the amazing woman centred team at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Maternity Unit. There are temporary full time and part time positions available. Positions are rotational - working a rotating roster across Antenatal Clinics, Birth Unit, Maternity Unit and Midwifery in the Home.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues.
- Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
