You’ll work closely with experienced ICU doctors and a multidisciplinary team, delivering attentive, face-to-face care to patients who require close monitoring and support. The unit is also supported by a dedicated full-time educator, ensuring you have access to guidance, ongoing learning opportunities, and professional development.

In this role, you will be working with patients whose clinical condition can change quickly, requiring you to recognise deterioration, respond effectively to emergencies and prioritise care in a complex environment. You will have the opportunity to further develop your assessment, clinical decision-making and emergency response skills while working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
What you'll bring
We are looking for Registered Nurses who can demonstrate:
Demonstrated Critical Care or ICU nursing experience
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and the ability to recognise and respond to cardiac changes
- Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to patient care.
- The ability to recognise and respond to changes in a patient's clinical condition and emergency situations.
- The ability to apply evidence-based practice and use clinical judgement to support safe, high-quality care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families, carers and the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing clinical demands within a complex and fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining contemporary clinical practice.
ICU training, critical care and Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), or a strong willingness to develop this skill experience is highly desirable.
Essential requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
This is a role where strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to recognise subtle changes in a patient's condition are essential.
What you'll be doing
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to patients with complex and changing clinical needs.
- Monitoring and managing patients experiencing haemodynamic instability
- Cardiac monitoring and recognising and responding to changes in cardiac status
- Mange non-invasive and invasive ventilation management
- Comprehensive patient assessment and ongoing clinical monitoring
- Responding effectively to clinical deterioration and emergency situations
- Managing complex patients with rapidly changing clinical needs
- Working collaboratively with ICU medical staff and the multidisciplinary team
- Respond promptly and effectively to clinical deterioration and emergency situations.
- Use critical thinking, clinical assessment and evidence-based practice to guide nursing care.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and effective patient outcomes.
- Advocate for patients and support patients, families and carers to understand their care and make informed decisions.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in our casual pool, you’ll deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-informed nursing care, supporting patients, their families and carers. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide professional, compassionate care that promotes health, recovery and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in partnership with patients and families

What you'll be doing

The Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, is seeking passionate and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS2) to join our team in a key research role within our dynamic 18-bed Intensive Care Unit.
As a Clinical Research Nurse Specialist (CNS2) in CICU, you will lead the preparation, management and execution of clinical trials, observational studies and data collection aimed at improving care for critically ill children. You will oversee a dynamic portfolio of trials, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory standards, while collaborating with investigators and industry partners. Your role will involve participant recruitment, consent facilitation, protocol management, safety monitoring and data management, all while promoting a collaborative, patient-centred approach and upholding the highest standards of care and research integrity.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) is an extended role within the scope of a Registered Nurse that provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of the Sydney Children's Hospital Network Acts as an appropriate and effective role model to promote culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
The CNS2 for Children’s Intensive Care Unit:
• Provides leadership in the development of the CICU research program, and identifies opportunities to enhance research capability and capacity in CICU
• Exercises extended autonomy, initiative and critical thinking to deliver duties to a high standard in compliance with protocol, clinical trial ethics and regulatory requirements in Australia and in line with SCHN policies.
• Exercises professional knowledge and judgement in co-ordinating clinical trials and research studies in collaboration with the medical research lead and study sponsors.
• Contributes to protocol development or amendments, feasibility assessment, ethics and governance submissions, and development and delivery of training.
• Undertakes data collection and data entry and communicates effectively with patients and families in obtaining consent and enrolment into a variety of studies and trials.

Tamworth Emergency Department is a busy, dynamic and rewarding clinical environment providing care to a diverse range of patients from across the New England North West region. As a Level 5 Rural Referral Emergency Department, you will have the opportunity to care for patients presenting with a broad range of acute, complex and life-threatening conditions.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Unit Manager on shift and the ED Nurse Manager, you will:
- Undertake rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration, trauma presentations, medical emergencies and resuscitation events.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products and other treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including intravenous cannulation, wound management, ECGs and specimen collection.
- Participate in advanced life support and resuscitation interventions.
