Where you'll be working
Join the specialist Blood Transplant and Cell Therapy service at Westmead Hospital, supporting patients through the complex post-transplant phase and long-term follow-up. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and the Day 0 to Day 100 Post-Transplant Nurse Practitioner, you will help deliver coordinated, evidence-based care across the patient journey.
Work within a highly specialised blood transplant and cell therapy service
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WSLHD and NSW
Contribute to the advancement of specialist nursing practice
Support patients, families and carers through long-term follow-up
Engage in research, quality improvement and service development
What you'll be doing
As the Blood Transplant Post-Transplant Coordinator, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and autonomous care coordination for patients following blood transplant and cell therapy from Day 100 onwards, including long-term follow-up.
Coordinate complex clinical care across outpatient and inpatient settings
Provide expert consultancy and clinical leadership in post-transplant care
Lead education for patients, carers and healthcare professionals
Drive evidence-based practice, research and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to service planning and the development of advanced nursing practice

Postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation
Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA List A
Selection Criteria
Minimum five (5) years full time equivalent post registration experience with at least three (3) years' experience in specialty field.
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and review of policy, procedure and guidelines
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary context.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and develop/maintain professional relationships and networks across multiple disciplines.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge to utilise information technology effectively
Demonstrated skills in providing education for patients, carers and staff.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the JMO Trainee Stage 2-4 in the Emergency Department is to provide clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring emergency medical services in a complex clinical environment. This includes both Adult and Paediatric patients. This position will provide experience in a critical care environment and have responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with the level of experience of the incumbent.
The Advanced Trainee is expected to function at a trainee level, supervise and also participate in teaching Junior Medical Officers and Medical Students, and taking part in research where appropriate.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
- Must have completed at least four postgraduate years training including a minimum 12 months full time Emergency Medicine experience in an Australian Public Hospital or equivalent (not as an Observer)
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment with commitment to self-education and continuous professional development
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team.
- Ability and willingness to work at the facilities within the Network to deliver patient care and preparedness and ability to participate in 24-hour shift work roster.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.

Bowral & District Hospital is a level 3 acute bed facility which provides a wide range of services including 24-hour Emergency Department, 2 x Operating Theatres, ICU, Maternity & Paediatrics.
Our Level 3 Maternity Service provides antenatal, birthing and postnatal care for in excess of 500 women a year. We also run an gynaecology clinic providing outpatient consults, colposcopy, family planning and elective gynaecological surgical procedures for the women of the Highlands.

What you'll be doing
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completion of at least three postgraduate years including a minimum of 1 year experience in women's health, with clinical competencein perineal repair, interpretation of foetal monitoring, uncomplicated assisted vaginal and caesarean birth and management of obstetric emergencies) Experience assisting gynaecological surgery including laparoscopy is also desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
- Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
- Prepared to participate in after hours and on-call work as required.
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.As one of the Staff Specialists in this Unit, you will primarily take part in the clinical duties of the TACS unit and cover Trauma and ASU (Acute Surgical Unit) as well as participate in the General Surgery on call after hours roster.Coordination and management of the acute resuscitation and treatment of multiple injured patients, emergency general surgery patients and coordination of acute care between multiple services and disciplines is a major focus of the role.You will also be expected to assist the department in the running of Trauma, General Surgery, and Acute Surgery clinics as well as participate in unit elective and emergency surgical operating lists.

About The Opportunity
COPILOT is a dynamic and exciting service that provides rapid access to multi-disciplinary geriatric assessment (medical, nursing, and allied health) for older people living in the community setting. Referral enables care to be implemented in the patient’s home environment, whether that be in RACH's or their own homes, avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital and leading to improved patient outcomes.
The COPILOT VMO will provide a high quality clinical service to older people and their families/carers to optimise health outcomes and support clients keeping well in the community. The VMO will provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and evidence-based care to clients residing in their own homes or nursing homes for acute care with the goal of avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital.
The COPILOT VMO will need strong clinical leadership and decision making skills, have relevant clinical experience in the Aged Care speciality, and preferentially experience in providing community-based care both in a direct and virtual capacity. The position requires compliance with mandatory clinical administration duties, and participation in an on-call roster. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, be efficient and have excellent time-management skills, and a willingness to join a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary district-wide service.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Advanced Trainee in Paediatrics at Blacktown-Mt Druitt Hospital is to provide effective clinical management of Paediatric patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in Paediatric practice, in a complex environment. The Advanced Trainee (Paediatrics) works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality.
It is expected that the Advance Trainee has been exposed to all aspects of general paediatrics medicine and is able to competently assess children presenting to the Emergency department across both sites (BMDH) and make appropriate provisional diagnoses and management plan. The Advanced Trainee is also expected to be proficient at both neonatal and paediatric resuscitation. The trainee will be working as part of a team to provide holistic medical care for paediatric and neonatal inpatients. The Trainee is also expected to review patients in Paediatric Ambulatory Care clinics at Blacktown & Mount Druitt Hospital. The Advance Trainee will be exposed to a broad range of developmental and behavioural problems and they are expected to undertake the assessments as part of the multidisciplinary teams and independently where required. The Advance Trainee will be expected to assess children at risk and complete a SCAN (Suspected child abuse and Neglect) assessment when required.
The Advance Trainee will also provide consultation and advice regarding pain, fluid management and drug doses to the paediatric surgical patients admitted at Blacktown hospital and assess children presenting to Blacktown Emergency department and arrange transfer to a paediatric facility if appropriate.
- Advanced Trainees work across both sites and across 3 units.
- Participate in after-hours rosters including nights and weekends.
- A shift work roster of mostly 12.5 hours shifts, including night shifts and weekends.
- The roster also includes "sick-on-call" shifts where they may be required to fill a shift within the specified 24 hour period at short notice.
- Advanced Trainees may be the most senior paediatric doctor onsite overnight.
- Advanced Trainees will have the opportunity to partake in General Paediatric Outpatient Clinics.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Sufficient clinical experience in order to undertake the clinical duties of the role in a variety of clinical settings and proficiency in basic and advanced Paediatric and Neonatal resuscitation.
- Advanced ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Advanced communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Advanced clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
- Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
