About the role
Join our supportive maternity team in Wagga Wagga and provide safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period. Working in partnership with women, families and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a vital role in delivering positive health outcomes and exceptional maternity care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive midwifery care, including assessment, care planning, education, monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
- Provide safe, responsive care during pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period, escalating and coordinating care when required.
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with women, families and multidisciplinary teams to support informed decision-making and quality care.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through clinical audits, evidence-based practice, professional development and mentoring of students and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- A strong commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across the maternity journey.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with women, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to think critically, adapt to changing environments and respond effectively to complex clinical situations.
- A commitment to continuous learning, professional development and delivering high-quality maternity services in a rural health setting
