A locum opportunity is available for a Rural Generalist with Anaesthetics credentials at a Western QLD Hospital from 23 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. Roster includes 08:00 morning scrum meetings, emergency and ward coverage, plus after-hours and weekend on-call duties. Best Practice software is used.

• This hospital has 24 beds and provides 24 hour acute and emergency care, including maternity and theatre services. Community and Allied Health Services are available including: cardiology clinic, alcohol and drugs, child development, diabetes education, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology, Antenatal clinics are provided.
• With a population of around 3,500 it is the base for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of Distance Education. The town is also home to a Cosmos Centre, which houses an observatory perfect for viewing the Milky Way Galaxy.
