An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Renal Clinical Trials Team at Nepean Hospital in a temporary part time capacity. This rewarding position offers the chance to play a key role in the delivery of clinical trials and research projects that contribute to improving outcomes for patients living with renal disease. Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will support innovative research initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Registered Nurse Division 1 registered with AHPRA
  2. Nursing experience in acute care setting, preferably within gastroenterology and/or hepatology specialties (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
  3. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Ability to perform venepuncture and laboratory specimen collection or willingness to learn
  5. Experience in developing and submitting ethics (NEAF) and governance (SSA) applications or willingness to learn and experience in managing clinical trials
  6. Current drivers licence
  7. Demonstrated computer literacy including accurate data entry skills
  8. Sound clinical nursing skills including ECG administration and basic interpretation, relevant pathology result interpretation, IV drug administration, counselling of patients regarding medications and potential toxicity management
