• This emergency department operates 24/7 and is staffed by a dedicated team of health professionals. This includes emergency medicine specialist doctors, critical care trained nurses, nurse practitioners specialising in emergency care and physiotherapists with expertise in urgent musculoskeletal conditions. They are supported by technical and clerical staff
• Nearly 60,000 patients, suffering from serious illness or injury, are seen every year in this busy emergency department.
• The town is located near the geographical centre of the state, is 93 km north west of Melbourne and has approximately 103,818 residents
